FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: When are you open?
Our office is open Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm
Saturdays and Sundays 9am – 2pm
However, sometimes we can arrange for tint installation outside of these hours.
Q: How long does it take for the tint to dry?
A: The drying time varies:
* Automotive: 2-7 days. In the meantime, do not roll down your windows so it can dry in place. Most of the time in most environments, it’s only 2-3 days for window film to fully cure to the window. Naturally if it’s cold and rainy, it could take longer. It’ll dry faster when the car is left out in the sun.
* Commercial and Residential: up to 30 days depending on the location and thickness of the film.
Q: Will the tint you put on the front 2 windows of my truck or SUV match the privacy glass in the back?
A: The privacy glass has dye mixed into the glass itself, so it’s going to look slightly different than window film applied to clear glass. It’s impossible to get a perfect match in color and exact visual light transmission (VLT) but we can get close. Most trucks and SUVs come with approximately 20% VLT on the back half. From the outside, it’s usually not noticeable. From the inside, you may notice a slight color variation.
Q: What warranties do you offer?
A: We offer the following warranties:
* Carbon Film: Lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, and turning purple (does not cover fading)
* Ceramic Film: Lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, and fading (color-stable film)
* Commercial and Residential Film: between a 3-10 year warranty depending on the film.
* Exterior Film: No warranty when applied on the outside, but we have exceptional quality films that are made to last in any environment
Q: What do I do if I see bubbles in the tint right after it’s applied?
A: Don’t panic! Most of the time they will go away within 3-7 days, but it depends on what type of “bubbles” they are.
If it looks like soapy suds all over the window, that should dry on it’s own. Tint is a porous material. The installer will do his or her best to squeegee out as much of the moisture as possible and then the rest will dry over the course of the next several days.If it’s the shape of a finger, especially at the edge or by the defroster line on a back window, then it just needs to be squeegeed out. Sometimes you can slide your finger across it starting on the inner most spot and slide to the outer edge or defroster line. Other times, it works best to wrap a paper towel around your credit card or ID and then slide it across in the same motion: starting on the inner most edge and sliding toward the outer edge of the window.
If that doesn’t work, text us a picture of it to: 818-200-6657 so we can assess whether the installer needs to come back out.
